This mulberry is a dense, rounded-topped tree with green leaves. Grows well in poor, dry soil and will give shade quickly. The fruit looks similar to an elongated black berry. Tree produces fruit in abundant quantities. Excellent for windbreaks, edible landscaping and chicken feed. Not recommended for planting near pavements, as fruit will stain. Leaves are used as edible fodder.
